Foerderverein (supporting association) of the
Ansgar center for the aged e.V. (regist.
association)
Elderly people don’t have a
lobby, most centers for the aged have a poor image
and health insurance cannot cover all costs. This
was why the “Foerderverein of the Ansgar center for
the aged e.V.” was founded. The following is quoted
from the statute of the Foerderverein:
“The purpose of the Foerderverein is idealistic
and financial support of the Ansgar center for the
aged. The Foerderverein will plan, support and
realize own projects, which are related to the work
of the center. Also the association aims to support
projects concerning the matter “being old in our
society” The Foerderverein doesn’t strive to gain
profit. Each adult is welcome as a member.
Membership fee is about 25 € a year.”
Besides the improvement of the public image of
centers for the aged the Foerderverein offers
substantial help to the inhabitants and their
relatives.
The Foerderverein organizes public events for
relatives, where topics are discussed like “diseases
in seniority”, where support is offered to all those
relatives who face the problem “caring at home and
in a center for the aged”, and many cultural events
for the inhabitants.
Members of the “Foerderverein Altenzentrum Ansgar
e.V.” (Foerderverein Ansgar
center for the aged) are, among others, theologians,
physicians, jurists, politicians, inhabitants of the
center and many of their relatives. All of them
support the center, its inhabitants and employees.
Also they try to improve the prestige of the center
in public and stand for its interests in society.
